Practice Activity: Build Your Template

Don't wait for your next project to start organized. Let's build a "Master Template" now.

1. Create a New Folder on your desktop or wherever you like to store your files and name it _ProjectTemplate. (The underscore ensures it stays at the top of your directory).

2. Inside that folder, create the six numbered folders (01-06) below.

3. Include Sub-folders: Inside 02_Videos, create A-Roll and B-Roll. Inside 06_Exports, create your three stages (Roughs, Review, Approved).

4. The Master Stroke: Right-click that _ProjectTemplate folder and compress it (Create a .zip).

5. The Workflow: Every time you start a new project, unzip that file, rename the folder to your new project name, and start dragging files in.

Download and Organize

Download the following file from my Dropbox and then start arranging into the correct folder structure.

You may need to create new subfolders to accommodate the contents. This is normal.

Deliverable

You will be submitting a link to your One Drive cloud storage.

You will be creating a folder called CTEC 3320 - Multimodal.

You will share a link to this file and ensure I have access.

Inside of the folder, you will drag and drop your project.
